這首聖詩為佚名作品，大概寫於七世紀。在《羅馬日課經》之中，用於常年期禮拜六夜禱（Matins）；在新禮，用於時辰祈禱之中常年期日課誦讀的第一週和第三週的禮拜六誦讀。也在《莎霖日課》之中全年禮拜六的夜禱（Matins）使用。

mundique factor machinae,
