這是一首古老莊嚴的聖安波羅修禮聖詩，創作於7世紀，用於一天結束的寢前祈禱。拉丁文版本一來自《羅馬日課經》。新禮，時辰祈禱之中，刪除了第二段，並且另外增加了兩段。

TE lucis ante terminum, rerum Creator, poscimus ut pro tua clementia sis praesul et custodia.	Te lucis ante terminum, rerum creator, poscimus, ut solita clementia sis praesul ad custodiam.	日落西山， 夜幕低垂， 仁慈的天父， 求祢保佑我们一夜平安。
Procul recedant somnia et noctium phantasmata; hostemque nostrum comprime, ne polluantur corpora.	Te corda nostra somnient, te per soporem sentiant, tuamque semper gloriam vicina luce concinant.	求赐身体健康， 精神振作。 在基督的带领下， 修德行善， 孜孜不倦。
	Vitam salubrem tribue, nostrum calorem refice, taetram noctis caliginem tua collustret claritas.	形体需要睡眠， 心灵不忘事主， 曙光再临时， 歌颂慈恩， 迎接美好的一天。
Praesta, Pater piissime, Patrique compar Unice, cum Spiritu Paraclito regnans per omne saeculum. Amen.	Praesta, Pater omnipotens, per Iesum Christum Dominum, qui tecum in perpetuum regnat cum Sancto Spiritu. Amen.	光荣归于父， 及子及圣神， 唯一真主， 至圣圣三， 直到永远。阿们。
